Stock futures mixed on Cyber Monday

Futures trading was mixed ahead of Cyber Monday, the busiest online shopping day of the year.

In pre-market trading Monday, the Dow Jones industrial average index was up 0.1%, while the Nasdaq composite index was up 0.1% and the Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.04%.

On Friday, stocks closed mixed during a shortened holiday session. The Dow Jones industrial average and Standard & Poor's 500 each lost 0.1%. But the Nasdaq composite continued its winning ways, climbing 0.4%.

In Asia, Shanghai's Composite Index fell 0.6% to 2,207.37 after two reports showed little growth in Chinese manufacturing. Hong Kong's Hang Seng idex climbed 0.7% to 24,038.55. Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 0.04% to close at 15,655.07.

European benchmarks lost ground, with Germany's DAX down 0.1% and France's CAC-40 down 0.4% and Britain's FTSE 100 fell 0.7%.
