In case you missed it, Pimco‘s Neel Kashkari was on CNBC this afternoon to discuss “stock picking:what’s working,” during which he waxed enthusiastic about Microsoft (MSFT), arguing that worries about tablets cannibalizing PCs constitute no real threat to the company.
Said Kashkari,
We continue to think Microsoft is a very strong story, very strong cash generation, again as people move away from PCs towards tablets, that may be bad for PC manufacturers like [Hewlett-Packard (HPQ)], but we think Microsoft can continue to do well just because the form factor has changed doesn’t mean Microsoft is out of the game.
Microsoft shares today are up 29 cents, or 1%, at $29.49.
